Automation Test Engineer

• Data, AWS, Python Remote UK based Contract6 months £400 £500 per dayWe're are recruiting for an Automation Test Engineer skilled in automated testing of data in S3, Athena and Redshift using Python, interacting with services such as AWS Step Functions.

Ideal candidates will have a solid history of crafting and implementing detailed test plans in an agile environment and should be versed in automated testing within AWS-hosted data warehousing systems.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive test plans covering all stages of the development cycle, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression.

Create and execute end-to-end testing scenarios to ensure seamless project delivery.
Design and build automated testing frameworks, script automated tests, and manage execution.
Proactively communicate risks and issues, and troubleshoot testing problems.
Engage fully in agile practices, including daily standups and retrospectives, contributing insights and feedback.
Provide consistent, quality support to project teams and stakeholders.


Qualifications:
Proven experience in testing data warehousing and integration solutions in an AWS setting.
Proficiency in automating tests using Python, JavaScript, and SQL.Strong background in DevOps environments, familiar with CI/CD tools.
Skilled in refining project requirements and ensuring test coverage aligns with project needs.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in software testing, including web applications.
Deep understanding of various testing methodologies.
