Summary

This position is Monday-Friday, 30 hours per week, 8:30-3:30pm (with an hour for lunch) term-time plus a few days in the holidays worked at your convenience.

The salary quoted is full-time equivalent, paid on a pro-rata basis.

Depending upon time worked for Lancashire County Council, you will be paid for between 44 and 45 weeks of the year while working 37 weeks per year (plus any overtime in holidays).

The Governors of Nether Kellet Community Primary School are looking to appoint a proactive and approachable School Administrator to join our friendly small school staff team.

This role will suit someone who has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

As an organised and efficient administrator (School Business Support Officer grade 6), you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative duties including management of finances:

ordering resources, paying invoices, managing the school budget, etc; liaising with people contacting or visiting school, parents and staff; managing attendance records, school lunch registers, etc.

You will need to be self-directed, flexible, able to take initiative and prioritise tasks managing your own workload.

We are looking for someone who will go the extra mile like all the staff at our school currently do.

You will also take responsibility for the financial management of school, working closely with the head teacher.

It is a great opportunity for someone who would love to be part of a close-knit team while also maintaining some autonomy in your own office.

There is also room for you to be innovative with new systems in consultation with the head teacher.

If you have a background in school administration, this would be an advantage but isn't essential as full training will be given in post.

The most important factor is that you are the right person to be in our reception office, greeting parents and visitors with the requisite skills in keeping accounts and communicating well in writing
