    Job Title: Technical Bid Writer

    Reporting to: Head of Pre-Sales

    Location: Office-based in Solihull, West Midlands

    Salary expectation: £40 to £50k

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Bid Writer to join our pre-sales team. The Bid Writer will play a crucial role in creating compelling and persuasive bid responses that effectively communicate our company's value proposition to prospective clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bid writing, particularly within the UK public sector, and will possess excellent writing, research, and project management skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough research on prospective clients, their requirements, and the competitive landscape to tailor bid responses accordingly.
    • Write clear, concise, and persuasive content for bid responses, ensuring alignment with client objectives and bid evaluation criteria.
    • Work closely with subject matter experts to gather technical information and incorporate it into bid responses.
    • Manage multiple bids simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and ensuring the quality and accuracy of bid submissions.
    • Review and edit bid responses to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with instructions and formatting requirements.
    • Maintain a library of reusable content and templates for future bid responses.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to bid writing.
    • Provide support for other pre-sales activities as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or related field.
    • Proven experience in bid writing, particularly within the UK public sector.
    • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and persuasive arguments.
    • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, concise language.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
    • Familiarity with bid management software and tools (e.g., Tussell, Stotles) is preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Experience in IT services or related industries is an advantage.
