    Description

    The School Effectiveness Team at Devon County Council is seeking to appoint an Education Advisor to our team at this exciting time of development and opportunity.

    If appointed you will join a strong and experienced team and you will work collaboratively across a range of services, linking up with colleagues from specialist teams and external partners, so that our Devon schools receive excellent and coordinated support that leads to positive impact as they strive to meet the needs of all their children. Your work will predominantly be to build strong professional relationships across your group of schools and with your colleagues, holding and managing intelligence on these schools.

    You will risk assess their performance and identify their vulnerabilities in order to deliver a programme of support and challenge for these schools which leads to improved provision and outcomes for children.

    Our team also deliver a traded package for schools both within and outside of Devon and you will use your high level of expertise to help shape and deliver this offer. Proof of recent, relevant experience of, and excellence in school improvement advisory work is the highest priority for us in securing these appointments. We also want you to be able to demonstrate a strong track record as a school leader.
