They are a 28 bedded hospital with three wards with one ward currently undergoing refurbishment and set to re-open in 2023. The Hospital has a very positive and supportive work environment with an enthusiastic and innovative team. The culture of the hospital is very team orientated and the Managers have an open-door policy and are very approachable and respectful; You will be working for an established, stable and agile company with a unique approach to the delivery of care. They are one of the UK's leading providers for mental health care.
Training / Induction and opportunities for development and progression: The Hospital offers a structured and thorough 2 week induction programme, which will include various training courses.
You will also have access to clear and structured development programmes where you can see clear pathways to progression within the hospital.
You will also have access to training opportunities to develop and enhance your nursing skills. The role of Senior Staff Nurse is to work as an effective member of the Multi-Disciplinary team. Promote the best interests of the patients and carers and ensure that prescribed nursing care is effectively implemented. Responsible for maintaining a safe care environment.Supervises a defined group of team members and contributes to their overall CPD, mandatory training and appraisal process recognising the skills required across the team.
Monitor and review Nursing Care plansProvide a high standard of care to people with mental illness and personality disorder
Contribute to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress
At a more senior level, you'll also need to lead shifts as well as mentoring and supporting student nurses and other members of the team
The Hospital welcomes applications from Mental Health Nurses and Learning Disability Nurses. Full training and support will be given by your own designated mentor.
