Page Personnel is partnering with a successful retail company based in Poole who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a full time permanent basis.


Client Details


Our client is a successful retail business based in Poole who have seen rapid growth over the past 12 months.

They do require travel into their offices but do offer a hybrid model of working.


Description
As the Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Complete daily sales invoicing for all customers in home currency
  • Credit checks and set up new customer accounts on Sage
  • Update customer accounts on Sage
  • Enter customer receipts in various currencies and allocate receipts against correct customer accounts on Sage
  • Reconcile customer accounts including all internal accounts and reviewing unallocated receipts on regular basis
  • Reconcile Amazon accounts in 5 different territories including posting and allocating receipts, posting sales or purchase deductions, escalating shortage claims to the relevant department on a regular basis
  • Raise weekly Direct Debit collections through Sage 200
  • Send out monthly statements to all customers
  • Raise credit notes as and when required
  • Import and reconcile of all PayPal and Braintree (customer credit cards) transactions in different currencies
  • Escalate PayPal queries to relevant department
  • Assist with month end journals as and when required
  • Assist with company credit cards reconciliations as and when required
  • Assist with posting purchase ledger invoices onto correct sage supplier account
  • Assist with work in other departments where the needs of our business require

Profile
To be successful for the Accounts Assistant role, you must:

  • Have previous experience of working in a similar varied Accounts Assistant role
  • Be studying towards your AAT qualification
  • Proficient in Excel at an intermediate level
  • Ability to multitask and reorder priorities when necessary
  • Ability to work within a team environment and support other team members when required
  • Excellent attention to detail
