The role


We are looking to recruit a number of Independent Assessors to undertake the specific tasks required of our End-Point Assessment (EPA) for the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA).

Attached is the full job description with the duties and time commitments required.

It is imperative that applicants to this role can commit to the timeline of activities for a cohort of apprentices to complete their end-point assessments.

The IA will lead on the three elements of the PCDA EPA:
1. 10,000-word project


  • Professional discussion
  • Presentation and panel discussion

Remuneration
Pay is based on the number of apprentices allocated and a fixed amount for administrative requirements. Allocations will be between approximately 5 and 16 apprentices based on the number eligible for end-point assessment. The per apprentice fee is £272.38 and the fixed amount is £ before deductions). Those deemed appointable will be held in a pool of Independent Assessors for 2 years and will be assigned on both a rota and availability basis, at which point a contract will be issued.


Skills and experience

Applicants should:

  • Be operationally knowledgeable in relation to the role of a Police Constable
  • Have an assessor qualification such as A1, TAQA, CAVA, or D32, D3
  • Have experience as an assessor of workbased competencies in the work environment
