    IT PROJECT MANAGER

    12 MONTH CONTRACT

    OUTSIDE IR35 - £600 PER DAY

    Our client is one of the biggest names in the CNI industry and due to an ongoing digitisation project, they require an experienced IT Project Manager to join them on a long-term contract basis.

    Suitable candidates will have experience as an IT Project Manager within an engineering discipline and must also have experience working on projects covering the following areas:-


    • End-user devices


    • Collaboration, email, and calendar


    • System hosting and Identity Management and Administration (IDAM)


    • Discipline/department-specific systems deployments


    • IT security


    • Continuous improvement of the IT systems and tools


    • Compatibility and interface with the Employer's systems as required

    APM/PMQ or PRINCE2 certifications are also essential; any additional certifications, such as ITIL Foundation/Practitioner, would be a distinct advantage. The following skillsets/experience are also required for the role:-

    Essential:

    • Experience delivering software and IT-focused projects (especially SAAS technologies).
    • Ability to lead teams on-site
    • Delivery focused with an understanding of meeting customers' expectations
    • Ability to manage stakeholders
    • Experience managing Microsoft Azure hosting projects

    Desirable:

    • Experience (at a support level) in developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
    • Strong knowledge of supporting Technical helpdesk and IT operations best practices focussing on ITIL principles.
    • Experience of working with different third parties to manage incidents.
    • Working knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols Working knowledge of Cloud-based working, or equivalent

    Due to the secure nature of the work involved, candidates must be eligible for SC clearance, as this will be achieved during the contract (UK National or 5+ years UK residency) - Existing SC clearance would be preferred, although the ability to obtain this clearance is the only essential requirement.

    This contract is predominantly remote working, but there will be requirements to visit the client sites in the North West of the UK when required for essential business purposes, which is likely to be 2/3 times per month, including overnight stays, and can be to either of their locations in Warrington or Cumbria.
