Fixed term to 31st
March 2025

Part-time - 30 hours per week

Band 3, Salary Range £25,468 - £27,486
per annum (pro rata) plus

Distant Islands Allowance of £2,256 per annum (pro rata)
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 part-time Receptionist in the Lerwick GP Practice. The post is fixed term to cover maternity leave. The Lerwick Practice is a salaried General Practice, providing medical services to a population of approximately 8,700 patients.


In this busy and demanding post, you will find no two days the same - the Reception staff have a key role in answering queries from members of the public as well as typing letters and referrals.

Previous experience of working in a GP Practice would be an advantage but training on the job will be given.

This contract is for a fixed-term until 31st March 2025. The reason for the fixed-term contract is Maternity cover and funding.
