    NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

    The shift pattern is 37 hours worked over 4 days.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Charge Nurse to join our Vascular nursing team in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. We are looking for an experienced Vascular/Surgical nurse to join our nursing management team within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. You will support the Senior Charge Nurse in ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and timely care to our varied specialty patient group. You will demonstrate expert leadership skills and act as a role model to the nursing team within the ward. The ward provides inpatient care to scheduled and unscheduled care Vascular patients for the West of Scotland. To support this large geographical area, the post will cover both ward 11A (28 bedded acute vascular ward) and the Vascular Annex (7 bedded unit).

    You will be a Registered Nurse on the NMC register and will possess relevant acute clinical and up to date experience within a Surgical or Vascular Area and should have evidence of continued professional development. Degree or equivalent qualification is essential. Opportunities are available for you to develop and you will be supported in expanding your knowledge and skills. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership. As part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's pre- employment checking for all appointed candidates, evidence of current NMC registration will be required prior to start date. You should therefore note candidates who are unable to provide confirmation of current NMC registration, in line with projected start date for these posts, may not be shortlisted for interview
