NDT Technician:

Knowledge and compliance of workplace Health and Safety standards. Ability to work various shift patterns. Ability to interpret codes, standards, specifications and procedures. Ability to fit into and become an effective member of an experienced inspection team. Have the ability to ensure all activities are undertaken to high standards of safety, integrity and quality. Attention to detail is an imperative attribute for this job function.

Responsibilities:

Carry out specific NDT inspection tasks in accordance with the relevant procedures and written instructions. Evaluate and report results based on the relevant acceptance standards. Carry out all the necessary set up / validation procedures to achieve a quality inspection evaluation. Train level 1 & 2 NDT staff. Calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.


Key Skills and Competencies

  • Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 Qualification (BSEN4179, ASNT or PCN).
  • Experience testing Composite Components is desirable.
  • Good written, numerical and IT skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Engineering Apprenticeship, Engineering/technical qualification such as ONC, or equivalent experience.
