The role will be office based in their bright and modern offices in Southampton which also provide parking.

What will the Purchase Ledger role involve?

  • Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details;
  • Posting invoices against Purchase order goods receipts;
  • Liaising with warehouse/purchasing departments to resolve any goods receipts queries;
  • Process invoices not requiring purchase orders directly through Accounts Payable. Ensure invoices are authorised before payment;
  • Match invoices with purchase orders where appropriate;
  • Reconcile statements received from vendors with Company records and chase up any missing invoices or discrepancies;
  • Processing Bacs payments weekly and ad hoc;
  • Allocate payments to vendors;
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the Finance Manager or Finance Analyst.
  • AAT Studier or someone seeking career in finance;
  • Prior experience of purchase ledger would be advantageous;
  • Good Communication both verbal and written with the ability to draft business letters;
  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Hours are 8:30am
  • 5pm;
  • 25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays) rising to 26 with service;
  • Pension 5% employee contribution, 3% employer;

  • 4.00pm finish on a Friday.
