An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Macmillan Specialist Palliative Care Team at Wythenshawe Hospital.
The successful candidate will be joining an established team who provide specialist palliative care expertise across the acute care setting.
We have a firm commitment to the education and training of others and promoting quality and excellence in palliative and end of life care across Manchester Foundation NHS Trust.
For this Band 6 post, we are keen to appoint a team orientated, highly motivated and experienced nurse, who has specialist palliative care knowledge.
Provide evidence-based specialist palliative care, advice and support to patients with a diagnosis of cancer or other life-threatening illness, and their carers.
Working collaboratively with multi-professionals across primary and secondary care and liaising with the Macmillan Specialist Palliative Care Team Lead where appropriate.
Provide specialist palliative care advice, education and training to all members of the multi professional team across all care settings as the service requires.
