- Leading and managing a team of drivers and contractors.
- Role modelling and leading appropriate personal, team, and plant safety, as well as food safety standards.
- Liaising closely with the production team to ensure seamless integration and execution of logistics, maximizing plant uptime.
- 5m logistic cost expenditure, showcasing excellent financial controls, cost discipline, and value management/purchasing principles.
- Acting as the site's competent person for fleet management.
- Ensuring issuance of vehicle loading sheets to the factory and driver notes/wallets to drivers for every delivery.
- Booking fleet with appropriate service providers, managing information flow in case of plan variations, and maintaining orderly fleet maintenance records.
- Adhering to "O" license and other UK relevant transport legislation.
- Identifying and minimizing logistical risks by predicting product demand.
- Supervising raw material and finished goods inventory and distribution.
- Collaborating with the production management team to develop yearly, quarterly, and weekly production schedules for efficient resource deployment.
- Leading the logistics team and exemplifying safety, technical, and professional standards.
- Appointing, leading, and managing/supervising contract personnel.
- Setting appropriate annual logistics budgets based on historical data and expected demands.
- Proactively managing logistics budget and implementing expenditure control mechanisms.
- Maintaining control over stock and goods inventory through effective stores management.

- NEBOSH or IOSH safety certificate.

- Experience in food and beverage industry is ideal
- Evident experience of leadership of fleet teams, logistics "philosophies" implementation, root cause analysis, and safety, quality, and environmental processes.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.
- Traceability, logistics data analysis, planning, time management, relationship management, problem-solving, interpersonal, IT systems, risk management, negotiation, prioritization, and numeracy.
