    About this job:

    • Handle results-oriented underwriting by developing and monitoring a technically sound and profitable portfolio of new and renewal business; this includes
      • pricing of treaty programs in coordination with Pricing Actuaries/Cat Modelling,
      • reviewing contractal documentation against PartnerRe underwriting guidelines and
      • ensuring that all underwriting actions and decisions are properly documented in compliance with PartnerRe`s underwriting procedures.
      • supporting Senior Underwriters in the underwriting of Global Client Accounts.
    • Provide firm presence in the London market to continuously build the PartnerRe brand with Lloyds and London market clients and brokers. This involves a high level of cross department co-operation with other Speciality Lines Underwriters based in London.
    • Support and foster a culture of agilility, straightforward communication, high performance, client centricity and solution oriented decision making.
    • Pro-active collaboration with relevant corporate functions, e.g. Actuarial, Claims, Reserving and Technical Accounting.
    • Support portfolio management and ensure exposure and risk accumulations stay within set budgets in accordance with the particularities of the line of business.
    • Support analysis and monitoring of market trends, economic and legal developments and assess its impact on the LoBs.
    • Special tasks and projects as requested by management and senior underwriters.
    • Handle administrative tasks such as data input for administrative and accounting purposes in a timely, pro active and efficient manner to ensure a high level of data quality and integrity.
    Qualifications

    About you:

    • A minimum of 5 years proven experience in (re-)insurance with a minimum of 2 years in Energy Downstream and/or Property underwriting.
    • Sound understanding of reinsurance treaty pricing and structuring; experience in the primary insurance or facultaive market is a plus.
    • Proven track record working in a diverse and multicultural environment.
    • Proven ability to deliver on defined targets and goals both individually as well as part of a team.
    • Confident interaction with internal stakeholders and client/brokers of different hirarchical levels demonstrating appropriate and professional communication skills.
    • Self motivated attitude with a high level of energy and the desire for ongoing development and personal growth.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under time constraints during peak business periods without compromising the quality of the work product.
    • Adaptable, open for new ideas and technology.
    • Proficient skills in MS applications. Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerBI is a plus.
    • Readiness to travel.
