- To achieve and maintain the highest possible standards of Visual Merchandising and presentation using the correct equipment in line with Company policies and procedures.
- To ensure all merchandising opportunities / areas within the store are immaculate in terms of presentation, organization and cleanliness.
- To keep up to date with all aspects of Visual Merchandising changes in line with company policies and procedures.
- To undertake all cleaning and tidying tasks to maintain the immaculate appearance of the store.
- To be aware of local competitor merchandising activity and inform senior management as appropriate.
- To recognise and understand customer needs and to deliver in a manner that exceeds customer's expectations.
- To develop a good knowledge of the current stock package.
- To be aware of store sales budgets by day/week and by period.
- To understand the current Returns policy.
- To carry out till procedures correctly and according to Company policy.
- To be alert at all times as a deterrent to shoplifters.
- To inform the store management of any breaches of security or other internal problems within the store that may result in loss to the store.
- To understand and comply with employee responsibilities as stated in the Health & Safety at Work Act and detailed in the Company safety policy.
- To know and understand the current emergency procedures and to carry them out quickly and calmly should the need arise.
- To ensure fixtures and fittings are in order, and any needs for repair or maintenance are reported to your line manager.
- To carry out any other duties as requested by the Company to ensure the successful performance of the store.
- Have previous VM and Sales Consultant experience within the fashion and retail industry
- Demonstrate a good knowledge of products
- Ability to recognise customers needs
- Excellent time management
- Ability to work as part of a team whilst achieving personal and deparmtnetal targets
- Ability to be accountable for both their own and the teams performance and be able to work unsupervised when required
- Knowledge of current fashion trends and ideas and be aware of competitor activity
