Location:
This role is agile with flexibility to work remotely but there will be a requirement to work out of 10 Victoria Street, London 2-3 days a week.

NPCC Business Support (BS) TEAM
Business Support maintains the logistics for the delivery of strategic meetings including Chief Constables Council, Regional Chiefs and the newly formed Strategic Planning and Coordination Board.
Other responsibilities include supporting the remote workforce for all IT and equipment, HR support, finance, governance assurance, information management and data protection protocols, and host force management duties.
The team also work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the NPCC is able to support Chief Officers in the constantly evolving areas of national policing.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to support the delivery of recruitment for NPCC, supporting hiring managers along with the management of secondment and attachment agreements.
This post plays a key role in respect of resourcing critical roles, which in turn supports the NPCC across a range of national policing themes and areas of activity, supporting partners, national programmes, the NPCC Strategic Hub, the NPCC Coordination Committee and wider NPCC teams.
There will also be a requirement to support the Business Support Manager on an ad-hoc basis in the planning and capturing of minutes/decisions for key governance meetings including Chief Constables' Council and Regional Chiefs.
As well as undertake other activities and changing demands of the NPCC, commensurate with the post to ensure effective delivery of NPCC objectives.

Technical Expertise
- Able to understand endtoend establishment/workforce planning and deployment
- Able to use data to help make decisions
- Good written and verbal communication skills in order to respond appropriately to queries or requests for information
- Abilities to pick up new IT systems and keep up to date with technology as it developments/advances
- Developing knowledge of Met HR systems e.g. Met MyHR and PSOP
Stakeholder Management
- Experience of working with external service providers, this role will require working alongside Shared Services Connected Ltd (SSCL) who provide HR recruitment services
- Be clear and logical in explaining decisions
- Be proactive in their approach to problem solving and take the initiative to resolve issues
- Act with integrity in dealings with stakeholders
Business Acumen
- Able to gather and utilise management information, analysis and business acumen to make decisions or recommendations
- Confirm finance arrangements for NPCC staff e.g. salary on appointment, annual increments and seek budget approval for any additional costs identified
- Understand the impact of deployment decisions, be able to articulate the risks to the business and make practical recommendations for mitigation
- Liaison with external service providers
Knowledge and Experience
- Working knowledge of GDPR and employment legislation
- HR experience in the following areas: attraction, recruitment, workforce deployment and planning, workforce data, leavers
Desirable - Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) membership (not essential) or relevant experience
