Role Overview
Based in Andoversford, Astor-Bannerman manufactures, supplies, installs and services specialist bathing and lifting systems for the disabled and elderly.

We have a 25-year track record as a market leader in our field and we have an ambition to grow.

This role is part of our expanding production team, who are responsible for the assembling our equipment ready for delivery, this is a very fast paced environment which will utilise a number of skills and capabilities throughout the duration of your shift.

Main functions and responsibilities

• Build all types of equipment as and when required by the weekly job sheets
• Test and check all fully built equipment, following relevant test instructions
• Using templates provided, cut, fill and weld various cushions using the HF Welder once training has been completed
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods and materials as and when required
• Carry out Stock Checks and Stock Counts as required
• Fill out all necessary paperwork/forms such as time sheets and quality forms as and when required
• Carry out other duties as operational requirements dictate to assist with the day to day running of the business

In addition, work-load dependent and to ensure cross cover with all Production departments, the following duties will also form part of this role:

• Using the bending machine for pre-forming stainless and mild steel for stretcher manufacture.
• Accurate measuring and cutting of both mild and stainless steel.
• Notching of pipe, drilling and fettling of mild and stainlesssteel tube.

The Person

• Must be versatile with power tools.
• Must be computer literate with basic software packages, eg word, excel etc.
• Competent with figures/measurements.
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills.
• Driving license
