- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, utilising payroll software systems.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity by accurately entering employee information, hours worked, deductions, and other relevant details.
- Calculate wages, bonuses, overtime, and other compensation accurately based on timekeeping records and company policies.
- Review time sheets and attendance records for accuracy and completeness.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as required.
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data and resolve discrepancies.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and industry best practices
- Support with Finance administration duties
- Minimum 2 years experience processing in house payroll.
- CIPP or working towards (desirable)
- Experience with SAP (desirable)
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry (advantageous)

Payroll Clerk | Full time and Permanent | Birmingham |Salary up to £26,000 Ashley Kate are proud to be working with our client in the manufacturing industry as they search for a Payroll Clerk to join the Payroll and Finance team.
Reporting into the Payroll Manager you will processing the in house payroll in completely on-site position.Ideally you will have worked within a manufacturing or similar environment where you would have covered both hourly and monthly paid staff alongside different shift patterns.
