    Our client are a law firm of outstanding quality. They are a modern and extremely progressive top tier, Legal 500 law firm that is supportive and takes great pride in developing the people that join them.

    They have grown substantially over the last 10 years to a turnover of £9m and over 50 fee earners and are now a Top 200 UK Law firm with a strong business plan of further future growth and development, aiming to double in size in the next five years.

    They have now reached the stage where they wish to hire their first IT Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a practice at a key stage of their development and help grow shape IT moving forward.

    Experience

    • Minimum two years in a support role with user and system support experience
    • Experience working in the legal profession or other private professional organisation
    • Able to work in the office 5 days a week
    • Excellent communication and customer support skills
    • Ideally some experience of the training and development of users
    • Ability to manage time and prioritise responsibilities
    • Window Server and Desktop operating systems experience and good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365

    Role

    • To provide day to day technical deskside and remote support to users for all hardware, software and associated peripherals in conjunction with a third party remote support provider and escalate as required
    • Set up of new users or those relocating offices including ordering kit, preparatory set up, initial training and testing
    • Training staff from beginner to intermediate level on use of basic IT systems and software – Word, Outlook, Teams, basic IT housekeeping and the standard ways the firm works etc
    • Training all staff from beginner to intermediate level of use of our legal case management system (initial and ongoing train the trainer training will be provided)
    • Troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues
    • Managing internal phone systems and mobile phones in conjunction with third party supplier with remote support as escalate as required
    • Maintain hardware, software and licencing records and audits
    • Achieving and maintaining Cyber Essentials accreditation
    • To assist in the preparation, testing and maintenance of the firm's disaster recovery plan
    • To assist in IT policy and strategy, implementing infrastructure and leveraging technology to active our business objectives
