Payroll Officer

Head Office, Surbiton

Full time, 40 hours per week

The Role


As Payroll Officer you will be accountable to the Finance Manager and will work as part of a small team who are the central department of the company providing the payroll and pension function.

As part of your role, you will maintain payroll records for current employees, new employees, and leavers as well as process payroll for staff, handle payroll queries timeously, generate payslips, P45's, and engage in payroll year-end.

You will also control account reconciliation and post payroll entries on Sage 200 and complete statutory reporting monthly/quarterly and or yearly.

Job Requirements

As Payroll Officer you will:

  • Hold relevant qualifications and experience in Sage Payroll and Sage 200
  • Be able to demonstrate proficiency in the running of Sage Payroll and pension system for 850+ employees
  • Be competent in using Microsoft Excel
  • Be capable of maintaining good communication within all the group, homes, managers and all colleagues.
  • Be able to work under your own initiative, employing time management skills and maintaining timesensitive targets
  • Provide evidence of ongoing professional educational training
