Purchase Ledger Assistant


  • Salary: £22,000 £26,000pa
  • Hybrid working
  • Location: Central Manchester


Agility is delighted to be working with a growing purpose-driven business, they are currently looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their team.

This role is working in a busy and fast-paced environment with opportunities for future progression and lots of learning opportunities.


This role is involved in all areas of the purchase ledger function ensuring that timely and accurate financial records are kept.

This role is offering a lot of responsibility from day one and you will be involved in process improvement/system implantation.


What you will be doing:

  • Processing supplier invoices accurately.
  • Checking supplier invoices to ensure we have been correctly billed.
  • Manage the account's inbox and resolve supplier queries in a timely manner.
  • Working with suppliers to make the process flow as smoothly as possible.
  • Process employee expenses and card transactions.
  • Ensure suppliers are paid correctly and on time.
  • Ensure supplier accounts are up to date and supplier statements reconciled.

About you:

  • Purchase Ledger experience
  • Starting or working towards AAT
  • Experience using Sage 50
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills
