    Role responsibilities

    The role will deliver insight for the strategy for service growth and high performance of rail services along with other modes of transport as they develop, and support with the compliance management of TfW Operator's operational performance and service specification.

  • Accountable for the oversight of Transport for Wales (TFW) performance in addition to other modes of transport as they develop, by tracking KPI's against targets and producing detailed reports where necessary to ensure challenges are understood across Transport for Wales and Welsh Government.
  • Leading the analytical insight and service delivery recommendations through combining and linking operational data and information to steer decision making at senior level to support the delivery of high-quality transport system.
  • Leading on data insight to influence the development of timetables for operators by ensuring that transport systems provide capacity and reliability to generate market growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Accountable for leading the performance data analysis required by the business and reviewing 3rd party modelling for future enhancement studies to ensure delivery of train services are aligned with the strategic vision of Transport for Wales and Welsh Government.
  • Who we're looking for

  • Degree level qualification in a numerate or analytical discipline.
  • Experience of performance data analysis, data monitoring and report writing.
  • Experience of writing board papers, and providing recommendations based on findings.
  • Demonstrable excellent analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of planning, prioritising and consistently delivering work to a high standard and by the required deadline.
  • Welsh Language Skills

    The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
