CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Chemist Transfer Lead to join a hazardous waste management company based at their site in Staffordshire, on a full time, permanent basis from a starting salary of £30,000 per annum


Location:

The site is based in Staffordshire and is commutable by Stoke on Trent, Stafford, Newcastle under Lyme and Uttoxeter

As a Senior Chemist, the main purpose of your role will be:

  • Ensuring waste is being appropriately stored inline with the requirementsConducting physical count of all stored pallets of waste on site every Monday morning to work to a KPI of
  • Sampling accepted waste to supply to internal laboratory for further analysis
  • Liaising with suppliers to get the best disposal rate for outgoing loads to maximise profitability.
  • Liaising with Logistics Team confirming transport disposal dates/cancelation of outgoing loads, to help maximise utilisation of the transport fleet.
  • Ensuring accompanying paperwork for any dispatches of Hazardous/Non Hazardous Waste are completed correctly

As a Senior Chemist, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • HNC or Degree Level Qualification in Chemistry or a similar related field.
  • Experience in the Hazardous Waste Sector for atleast 12 months.
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Waste Regulations
  • Experienced in working in a Health and Safety driven business
  • Experience to working to HSG5
  • Computer literate especially in using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
