- Experience in delivering detailed design engineering solutions, drawings and specifications for slope stability, earthworks and retaining structures particularly in the rail environment.
- Competent in piling, piled walls, foundation and retaining wall design, temporary works, soil nails, ground anchors and the planning, implementation and interpretation of site investigations.
- Have a proven track record of achievements in technical, commercial and project management whilst working in a fast-paced engineering consultancy environment.
- Preparation of technical documentation, contract documents and fee estimates.
- Able to work in collaboration with other engineering disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and gain a good understanding of their sector to foster effective and enduring relationships.
- Ability to manage a challenging workload.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
- Extensive experience in structural engineering design, preferably within consultancy environment.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software
- Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing design teams and delivering projects from conception to completion.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet project deadlines.
