    Workshop Manager NEASUS Managerial Job overview

    This exciting opportunity would appeal to a Workshop Manager, who wants to move their career to the next level.

    The successful applicant will be required to manage a workshop maintaining a fleet of almost 600 vehicles, varying from blue-light modular box-body ambulances, van conversions, minibuses and rapid response cars plus assorted non-blue light cars, vans, trucks and electric vehicles.

    The workshop is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year and has 4 shift team leaders and 23 technical staff.

    The role is a very rewarding opportunity to make a difference to the whole of the North East through the vital work that we do.

    Main duties of the job

    • Management of workshops
    • Management of mobile technician and tyre fitting service
    • Leadership of vehicle servicing and maintenance process
    • Vehicle parts procurement and management
    • Management of sub-contracted services

    Person specification Qualifications and Experience

    • Possess suitable qualification and experience to provide professional advice relating to Road Transport Legislation, vehicle construction and use regulations and vehicle and driver licensing regulations.
    • NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in vehicle maintenance or related subject
    • GCSE A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
    • Experience of managing within a workshop environment and time served as a Fleet engineer with a large Fleet capacity.
    • Competent in use of IT systems, including fleet management systems specifically
    • City and Guilds Craft Certificates (or equivalent).
