    SEN Teaching Assistant Role Mainstream Primary School in Southwark, London


    Tradewind are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in the heart of Southwark, London.

    This term-time only position starts in May 2024 and runs Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, until the end of the academic year in July 2024.

    There is the potential to continue in September 2024.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Provide support and assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within mainstream classroom settings.
    Work closely with class teachers to implement individual education plans and support strategies.
    Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth for all students.
    Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to ensure the holistic development of students with SEN.
    Engage in regular communication with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on support strategies

    Requirements:
    Previous experience working with students with SEN preferred but not essential.

    Possession of relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
    Commitment to promoting an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for all students.
