The Brand and Research Insights team operates within the Strategic Insights team, part of Lloyds Banking Group's Chief Customer Office (CCO).

CCO is a group-wide function responsible for driving forward the customer agenda for the Retail customer franchiseand LBG more broadly.

Strategic Insights' mission is to ensure a deep understanding of customers drives decisions across LBG.

We do this by providing compelling and trusted insights about our customers and the world around us, created by combining internal LBG customer and productdata, customer research and external intelligence.

CORE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This is an excellent opportunity to join as a Research Assistant Manager, supporting the brand communications area of research.


This position involves leading and supporting on research projects to optimise impactful brand communications across the Lloyds Banking Group portfolio of brands, as well as tracking and evaluating the performance of our marketing and brands.


Working closely with the Research Managers across the communications lifecycle, supporting at each stage of communications research, from communications development through to in-market evaluation.


Responsible for delivering relevant insight from research, interpreting results and delivering practical recommendations to facilitate effective decision making and drive enhanced outcomes.


Ready to operate with autonomy, engaging experienced Research Managers as required, and supporting multiple Research Managers with a range of specialisms, and reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand Insight.

A versatile teammate, both analytical and intuitive,contributing as part of an expert team and focus on developing your research expertise.


Alongside a passion for research excellence, you'll be curious about new insight techniques and developments within marketing and have a broad commercial understanding to ensure insight is delivered in a meaningful way.


Key accountabilities

  • Managing research projects, including research design, setup, and reporting, working with multiple agencies to deliver accurate and reliable research results that meet business objectives, timescales and costs.
  • Fostering excellent working relationships to with internal colleagues to align on research objectives, action standards, stimulus and sample in order to drive action from results.
  • Delivering insight based, practical recommendations to facilitate decision making on communications, standing for objectivity and highlighting market trends potential competitive threats.
  • Crafting succinct research summaries and taking the opportunity to synthesize insights across projects to constructively challenge business plans and to improve performance.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

ESSENTIAL

  • Minimum of 3 years research management experience in brand insight delivery via continuous or adhoc quantitative and qualitative consumer research.
  • Strong analytical skills, proven ability to use and interpret quant data and optimise effective data collection techniques
  • Project management skills: track record of efficient delivery of projects, adept at managing multiple projects and prioritising workload and project scope to support targeting timescales and budgets.

DESIRABLE

  • Ideally 2 years clientside experience of brand and marketing tracking and communication testing and evaluation.
