    Description
    Are you based in the North East with evidenced experienced in Health, Safety and Environment within the print Industry and looking for your next challenge. We are looking for an ambitious individual to join our expanding team supporting our members with their HS&E requirements.
    Purpose and Responsibilities;
    • To provide comprehensive HS&E advice and support to BPIF members and non-members where appropriate;
    • Present an understanding of member HS&E responsibilities and aspects of legal compliance
    • Advising of any gaps in compliance and support with step improvements to achieve full compliance
    • Provide remote and on-site advice and/or guidance in the event of HSE visit, Insurance audit or other external visit
    • Support ongoing member HS&E improvements by conducting remote action plan meetings
    • Providing ongoing expert guidance and/or advice via remote facilities; telephone; email; formal letter communications and via general site visits where required
    • Build ongoing member HS&E relationships, to promote support and engagement on HS&E matters
    • In conjunction with the training team, support with HS&E advice and awareness through to member trainees and apprentices
    • Conduct regular networking events via HS&E Forums and webinars
    • Support ongoing communication with members via webinars, articles, newsletters and other means - creating articles for marketing media and magazines, in line with specialist topics

    Knowledge & Experience

    • Comprehensive knowledge of general health and safety and experience within the Print and/or Print Packaging Industry
    • Must hold as a minimum NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
    • Must be registered with IOSH as Tech IOSH status as a minimum standard
    • Must have minimum of five years field experience
    • Proven experience with managing environmental problems and knowledge of basic industry requirements
    • Obtained or working towards an environmental qualification.

    Personal Attributes and Skills

    • Excellent Communication skills to enable good working relationships with both members and potential members
    • Sufficient email writing skills to enable good interaction, meeting member expectations responding to day-to-day activities, queries and situations
    • Understanding of Microsoft package applications to support document review, creation, presentations etc.
    • Presentation writing skills to enable sufficient management of forums, ongoing training packages, webinars, remote safety tours etc.
    • Team-working relationship skills to ensure ongoing working relationships within local regional office, HS&E team and cross-team within BPIF
    • Open mind to positive change within the HS&E team and across BPIF to enable ongoing improvement, enabling
