Initial 5-month contract.

£25 an hour, umbrella

Inside IR35

Greenwich

Key responsibilities of a Health and Safety Advisor

  • Support and deliver the objectives and targets set out in the Corporate Health and Safety Plan and Work Plan and report on the progress of the work plans.
  • Provide advice and support to Directorates/Schools management in meeting their Health and Safety (H&S) legislative and Statutory responsibilities.
  • Develop and carry out planned programmes of internal H&S inspections, and audits for applicable Directorates/schools, including creating and providing reports on H&S compliance to the applicable management.
  • Ensure inspection and audit visits and required reports are carried out and completed within agreed timescales including supporting managers on the development of Health and safety improvement opportunity plans and the closing out of actions as necessary as required.
Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant health and safety qualification, equivalent to IOSH Tech IOSH membership (minimum).
  • Proven working experience in providing Health and safety knowledge on statutory compliance and a wide range of other safetyrelated disciplines.
  • Experienced competent health and safety professional with excellent knowledge and practical experience of H&S legislation.
