    The role of import / Export Clerk is to provide support service for all import/export shipments, heavily involved in customs area.

    Shifts for an Import/
    Export Admin:
    7am to 4pm with weekend work on a rota
    General Duties for an Import /

    Export Clerk:

    Monitor inbound arrivals from customer pre-alerts and using tracking sites to ensure correct capacity on vans have been booked.

    Sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered to HMRC including CPC codes, commodity codes, import/export licensing, EORI numbers etc.

    Preparation and completion of customs entries for import and export clearances
    Recording shipment and daily activity onto excel spreadsheets/systems
    Key point of contact for liaising with Hauliers, Gateway, Depots/Hubs & Third-party drivers
    Ad hoc duties to support business requirement
    Scheduling transportation services, planning routes, and assigning drivers.
    Have an understanding on how international shipping works.
    Proficient use of MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
    Good Maths and English skills written and verbal.
    Basic understanding of Air imports/Exports would be an advantage.
