    Family Practitioner - Hackney

    Are you a passionate, dedicated Family Practitioner looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Family Practitioner to join a Children's Social Care Team based in Hackney.

    Pay - £20 per hour.

    This is a contract role for 3 months initially.

    Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm (36 hours a week).

    The role:

    • Support the assessment of children and families through observation, direct interaction, conducting interviews, and gathering relevant information.
    • Establish respectful relationships with children, families, and their support systems during assessments and family support interventions, ensuring their perspectives and desires are accurately heard and documented.
    • To work with families in their homes or designated locations as per agreement to monitor, assess risks, and aid in executing a mutually agreed support plan, employing evidence-based approaches.

      This includes offering practical assistance to empower families in helping themselves and assisting adults to develop their roles as parents or caregivers.
    • Work independently, and where suitable, as the primary professional with families, making decisions regarding necessary tasks, take responsibility for these decisions and their effects on the family.
    • Notify your line manager of any concerns regarding the quality of parenting or the safety and welfare of children within their home or other community settings.
    • Create clear and concise written reports based on intricate evidence regarding your interactions with families, as needed and in accordance with agreed-upon standards and deadlines.
    • Maintain detailed case records concerning a child's situation and your interventions, contributing to the comprehensive understanding of needs and risks.
    • To carry out any necessary task as instructed.

    Requirements

    • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in child and family training.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Extensive and relevant experience in working directly with children and families.
    • Able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evening and some weekends.
    • Enhanced DBS registered to the update service.
