    As a Senior DSP Engineer within this newly formed product development organization you will be responsible for developing and implementing the wide array of signal processing algorithms needed for our innovative ultra-portable products. In the process, you will find yourself working with some of the brightest minds in the business across multiple disciplines of software, hardware, radio, acoustics, WiFi, and Bluetooth technologies.

    What You'll Do

    • Design, implement, and test algorithms to solve technical challenges associated with one or more of the following - telephony, voice pickup, Bluetooth communications, active noise cancellation, spatial audio
    • Design, build, analyze, enhance, and refactor elements of the embedded software system used to power Sonos products
    • Debug complex low-level problems that may span interfaces between hardware and software
    • Develop and mentor junior engineers

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    • BS or higher in EE, CS, Mathematics, or related discipline w/4+ years of experience
    • Demonstrable expertise in programming signal processing algorithms using high-level languages like C, Python and Matlab as well as low-level languages like fixed-point assembly
    • Hands-on experience profiling, optimizing, tuning, and debugging embedded DSPs
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience articulating technical concepts in cross-functional teams

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Solid understanding of Bluetooth fundamentals including Bluetooth Classic, Low Energy, and LE audio
    • Demonstrated experience in audio and speech processing
    • Exposure to acoustics and acoustic measurements
    • Independent, self-motivated worker requiring minimal supervision
