Description
The role is 37.5 hours a week working during core hours to meet the service needs.

The successful applicant will perform respiratory function measurements, other specialist respiratory investigations and activities of a complex and non-routine nature to a group of patients (up to the age of 18 years) with a wide variety of respiratory conditions.

This will involve communicating complex instructions and clinical information effectively to ensure co-operation and compliance and to obtain accurate technical and clinical data.

The post holder will also assist with the testing of new equipment ensuring standardisation and quality is maintained.


Ensuring that all specialist respiratory equipment is maintained to a high standard, including calibration and quality measurements with adherence to appropriate quality and quantitative controls.

The applicant should be motivated, enthusiastic and be able to work collaboratively within the Paediatric Respiratory Team.

They should be able to work independently within a busy clinic setting, handling patient referrals, determining priorities and be able to seek advice when needed.

The applicant should have knowledge of relevant respiratory tests and common paediatric respiratory conditions.
