    How will you make a difference?

    As a Service HSE/Quality Specialist your overall responsibility will be to ensure the highest possible standards of HSE and Quality are adhered to within the Service department of the UK/IE region and ensuring that the regional service department is receiving quality products and services from internal and external suppliers and departments.

    This Position is based in the UK but will consist of very regular travel throughout Ireland and the UK to all of our locations.

    Whilst no two days are the same, you key responsibilities will revolve around:

  • Responsible for inspecting the quality of the regular service work on different windfarms across the UK/IE region
  • Responsible for following the erection and commissioning works within the region and identifying any inconsistencies.
  • Monitoring regular maintenance activities such as auditing type 1,2,3,4 services,SN/TN implementation in the regions turbines and identify and suggest improvements to the local teams and management
  • Assuring that up-to-date work instructions are being used in the region
  • Organise local trainings with site teams to introduce changes or improvements to their daily work on the turbine and at service points.
  • Conducting quality inspections of subcontractor works
  • Conducting quality inspections of newly constructed turbines
  • Performing Remote Quality checks of wind turbines (e.g parameter checks, maintenance completeness, retrofit implementation)
  • Conducting Quality checks of maintenance documentation and reports
  • Creating reports using data from Quality inspections and audits
  • Coaching of Service Supervisors and Management in the Quality processes of the company
  • Attending meetings ASM/LOM/HSE to present findings from inspections and audits
  • Supporting internal and external audits
  • Carrying out Windfarm/Service Point audits to ensure compliance inc Wind Turbine Safety Rules, RAMS, vehicles, 5s etc.
  • Organising HSE drills onsite and assisting the site teams in developing emergency response drills
  • Develop and apply changes to existing documentation AWPS,RAMS, work instructions to improve the working processes
  • Willingness to obtain relevant QHSE training.
  • To succeed you will have the following:

    Experience – Demonstrate experience as a technician working in the wind industry, or in a Quality Engineer role in an industrial Environment.

    Adaptability – You will have the ability to work in an environment of continuous change and different challenges. With a positive attitude and a passions for getting things right

    System Savy – You are computer literate and confident in using MS office, in house databases and workload management systems.

    Working at heights – This role involves working at heights, up to 100m. You will need to be fit and health and pass a working at height test

    Flexibility - Flexible in working time and area with a willingness to travel up to 75% of your time including including nights away from home.

    Communication – Demonstrate excellent communications skills and able to deliver a training course.

    Autonomy – You will be self-motivated, and able to work autonomously.

    Organisation – You must have the ability to use your own initiative to plan and prioritise tasks, work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

    Driving Licence – You must have a full UK driving license for this role.

    Education

    Mechanical or Electrical Qualification, or Quality Engineering Degree or equivalent

    What are the working hours

    Our core hours are 40 per week (Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm) but this role will consist of very regular travel throughout Ireland and the UK to all of our locations, up to 75% of your working time.
