    Location: Manchester - will travel to customer sites frequently

    Salary: Up to £40k base.

    Key Requirement: All candidates MUST have an Electrical Qualification, i.e. City & Guilds 17th/18th edition.

As a Lead Field Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting companies on their journey to net zero and sustainability by improving operational efficiency. Our team seeks a proactive and skilled individual to oversee Field Operations and ensure the successful deployment and installation of IoT monitoring devices. This role involves conducting detailed site surveys and leading a dedicated team of Field Engineers responsible for the seamless installation and operation of technology solutions. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in delivering superior service quality to our clients, enhancing field operation efficiencies, and contributing to the advancement of our IoT offerings.

    Duties & Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct thorough site surveys to determine client requirements, installation needs, and project viability.
    • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Field Engineers, supervising every aspect of the installation and deployment process of IoT monitoring devices.
    • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for site assessments, installations, and ongoing maintenance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety guidelines.
    • Work closely with the Product Development and Customer Success teams to improve product features and client satisfaction.
    • Oversee project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
    • Offer technical leadership and support to the team, addressing complex challenges and maintaining high service quality standards.
    • Promote a culture of continuous enhancement, advocating for innovation and efficiency in all field operations.
    • Keep abreast of the latest in IoT technology, industry trends, and best practices.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
    • Significant experience in a leadership role within the fields of IoT, telecommunications, or technology.
    • Extensive expertise in performing site surveys and managing the installation of technological devices or systems.
    • Proven ability to lead and nurture a team of technical professionals, creating a cooperative and effective workplace.
    • Excellent project management capabilities, with experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, aimed at delivering practical and effective solutions.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, effective in collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging with clients.
    • Good knowledge of IoT technologies, networking, and system integration.
