    Natta building specialise in Civil Engineering projects comprising section 278 and 38, infrastructure, roads, sewers and services, large scale ground working for commercial buildings, schools, airports, prisons, housing developments and high-quality external works packages.

    We also undertake design and building packages with experience in various build styles including steel frames, reinforced concrete frames, basements and traditional brick/block work.

    Where Natta has previously undertaken the civil infrastructure installation and some works relating to the trench excavation of utilities it is in the process of obtaining full accreditation to install utilities.

    MAIN DUTIES

    • Implement, oversee and ensure that the on-site activities meet safety, quality and technical standards
    • Take responsibility for managing the on-site team and operatives assigned to you
    • Assist in controlling the works and resources to achieve programme
    • Identify and control resource requirements to complete the works
    • Identify and control the materials required to complete the works
    • Lead by example in executing groundworks, trenching, backfilling, installation of infrastructure, ducts and services (as authorised to do so) in accordance with health, safety, client and adopting utility standards and requirements.
    • Assist with daily briefings, toolbox talks and other relevant consultations as necessary
    • Assist with the day-today tasks associated with receiving and ordering materials, managing and coordinating with other trades and provide means of reporting on progress
    • Inspect and test the works and rectify any non-conformances
    • Be familiar with and take responsibility with regards to health and safety matters that impact the works environment and workforce
    • Brief the workforce on such health and safety matters, ensure they understand what is expected from them not to put themselves or others at risk
    • Understand the relevant method statements and ensure this is communicated to the site team as appropriate
    • Ensure all relevant registers and permits are signed and in place before work commences
    • To ensure all site operatives are wearing the appropriate PPE and using the correct equipment for the task
    • Develop, maintain and encourage working relationships to promote goodwill, teamwork and trust
    • Be proactive and adapt when plans and circumstances change, notify the project manager of any major changes that impacts the way work is done so that proper controls can be put in place for dealing with changes
    • Understand the relevance of how the programme relates to upcoming works to be carried out
    • Assess work activities to be carried out, plan with the guidance of the project manager accordingly and in line with the site programme to ensure that deadlines are met and related works are carried out in the correct sequence
    • To carry out work in accordance with identified requirements and notify the Project Manager of any deviation to proposed design, improvements or additions required
    • Ensure with cooperation of the project manager that operatives have correct and valid competencies for the scope of work to be done prior to any work commencing
    • Ensure that all information relating to underground and overhead services on the site is obtained and that services are located, marked and plotted accurately before work starts
    • Organise the storage and use of materials, equipment and components so that materials handling and movement is efficient and wastage is minimised
    • Regularly check that work conforms to the design requirements and specific quality standards including material and installation specifications
    • Identify work that fails to meet the required quality standards, raise a non-conformance and implement corrective actions as required
    • Maintain records of inspections and control procedures for quality of work
    • Assist with the induction of new operatives on site and maintain an up to date register of inductions
    • Assist with delivering safety briefings and ensure that actions arising are carried out
    • Carry out safety inspections at agreed intervals
    • Assist with weekly tool box talks on site specific environmental, quality or health and safety issues and ensure that these talks are recorded.
