The role:

The Production team is responsible for facilitating, producing, and delivering content on behalf of each and every one of our clients and the prospective clients of Ride Shotgun.

Our clients and their customers live and breathe a cross-channel retail world, it's complex, sometimes confusing and the production team goal is to simplify the production experience.

We must remain current, relevant, retail savvy and always effective.

The team is responsible for taking the lead with technology, kit, talent, process and price negotiations within our business in order to produce the very best content while staying true to our business objective of maximizing profit while partnering long-term with our clients.

This is a senior role within the business, excellent leadership skills and the ability to inspire and manage a team of direct and indirect reports is crucial to the success of this position.

It is a client facing role where it is expected that Ride Shotgun is represented and portrayed in the best possible way in every instance, maintaining our high standards and reputation for excellence at every step.

Key responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Producer team based in the Leeds production facility
Ensure all projects progress smoothly through the production process
Ensure all projects are delivered to the agreed and appropriate standard, on budget and on time
Interacting with clients to help ensure the overall client experience is excellent
Overseeing financials, quoting, project tracking and reporting for the producers
Create an excellent working environment in which the team can develop and thrive

Required skills:

Have an excellent understanding of your client's industry, challenges and competitors. As Head of Production you will play an important role in the overarching production strategy and direction. You are always looking to innovate and keep Ride Shotgun at the forefront of production excellence.

You will use your thorough understanding of our business and all the content services that we offer, talk about it confidently and inspire those around you.

- _Team management:_ Inspire, educate and lead your team including all aspects of development, training and staff retention. Demonstrate your ability to grow teams and improve departments. Be responsible for the identification of talent, the hiring process, recommending promotions and also any disciplinary action where necessary.
- _Client liaison_: Work with our client service team and demonstrate the ability to develop strong client relationships in your area of expertise. Facilitate regular contact with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of projects
- _Commercial awareness:_ Work with all departments and utilise your strong commercial awareness (both project and business related) and look for ways to improve our profit. Have an excellent understanding of rates within our industry to ensure we are always competitive in every production discipline on every project.
- _Problem solving:_ Find solutions and resolve issues at every level while educating your team to do the same. Escalate appropriately any problems or issues that you cannot resolve alone
- _Project scoping_: Interpreting briefs, finding and implementing cost effective solutions
- _Briefing:_ Oversee to ensure briefs from all departments are completed, consolidated, added to or edited in order to keep to our ways of working and high standards
- _Timing plans_: Oversee the production of project timing plans so they are accurate and efficient, inputting where necessary to improve
- _Scheduling and time management_: Direct and manage your team as well as pro-actively managing your own time and workload on a daily basis in order to complete any given agreed task to deadline
- _Resource planning_: Work closely with your reports and the Studio Manager to ensure we have the appropriate internal or freelance resource for projects
- _Reconciliation:_ As needed produce detailed reports on the performance of your teams
- _

Project Debrief:
_ Lead debrief sessions to go through what went well and what the business or department can learn or improve on
- _Communication:_ Stay in contact with all crew and departments at every step of a project, in person as needed in our Leeds production facility

Required Skills:
