- Act as subject matter expert taking the lead in the company for all civil & structural issues.
- Be there to offer professional support to make sure structural designs are technically robust and cost-effective. Thus, within the early project stages offer advice and guidance on effective and suitable design to enable the best construction.
- Provide technical input and guidance into the corporate Asset Integrity Procedure (AIP) in developing and refining company standards.
- Use technical Knowledge and understanding of engineering requirements to assist in the selection of subcontractors in addition to relevant technical build evaluations.
- Review and comment upon the civil & structural design deliverables provided by the engineering contractors (EPC, Fabrication and constructions).
- Attend project and design review meetings to ensure the design meets project requirements.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal awareness partnered with a clear communicator.
- Display an ability to build great working relationships.
- A constant awareness of your legal responsibilities and ensuring you act in the company's best interest.
- Show a highly motivated mindset and an ability to adapt to situations.
- An ability to be internationally mobile regarding working location.
- Significant experience working in the chemical, petrochemical, or oil and gas sectors.
- Previous experience in major projects including front end, detailed design, and construction phases.
- Chartered Engineer or registered Professional Engineer.
- A strong, technical engineering knowledge with experience in Process Unit Modularisation & Prefabricated Buildings.
