    JOIN US as a Senior Buyer and we can offer you an 18 month contract to work in a high-tech, specialist company partnering with some of the best global names in aerospace, medical, semiconductor and clean energy.

    The Senior Buyer will be responsible for all Winbro sourcing and procurement activity related to a large capital project - supply of two special purpose machine tools (CECMs) to a customer in the USA.

    The Senior Buyer will be responsible for the sourcing of make-to-print parts and sub-assemblies as well as commercially available electrical and mechanical components.

    This role will involve working with Winbro's existing Taiwan, UK and US supply chains as well as developing new sources in order to deliver this project on time and within budget, whilst also creating supply chain capability for the future.

    Experience of leading projects in a purchasing environment is essential.

    Day-to-day you will be:

    • Sourcing make-to-print parts and sub-assemblies including cast, machined and fabricated items.
    • Sourcing electrical and mechanical commercially available components.
    • Placing orders in line with Winbro global system demand.
    • Producing supply chain execution plans ensuring that relevant elements are entered and maintained in the ERP system.
    • Responsible for all aspects of supplier management.
    The successful candidate will be degree educated with vocational or technical training, in Manufacturing or Design Engineering. You will bring an understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.

    This is a key role for us, working on a high profile project, therefore we need a candidate who can show 5 years experience in a similar buying role with a demonstrable record of success.

    You will have the ability and willingness to travel internationally.
