As a Product Owner for CNI, you will create and maintain a fundamental understanding of the end-to-end process that the relevant products underpin and the business goals, drivers and objectives that are driving such processes.

You will be Seen as a recognised leader and expert, ensuring team and individual service delivery expectations are exceeded and positively received.


What you'll get to work on

  • You will work within the IT Product Line with both internal scrum teams and external thirdparty vendors, covering digital platform services, corporate tooling (Microsoft suite), network connectivity and hybrid cloud.
  • Support the maintenance of the evergreen technology roadmap, understanding the systems and solutions within the product line and value streams.
  • Working with IT Teams and Procurement Teams to plan maintenance activity, advise on contract renewals and/or ceasing of contracts in line with the strategic roadmap.
  • Identify, analyse, and implement appropriate KPIs which allow the business to measure product success.
  • Coordinate development sprints with the agile team for delivery. As well as, organising and participating in team demonstrations with stakeholders at the end of sprints and program increments.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Product Managers and other Product Owners across teams to ensure successful delivery of crossroadmap projects and dependencies.

Who are we looking for

  • Specific experience and demonstratable knowledge in the following functional areas:
  • Energy Control Centre (ECC)
  • System operator ensuring safe transportation of energy and security of supply
  • Gas Pressure management below 2Bar
  • Technical understanding for all components of the engineering framework applicable to the local distribution network and discipline engineering specialists for emergency response and safe control of operations
  • Gas Pressure management above 2 Bar
  • Technical understanding for high pressure assets and discipline engineering specialists (electrical, instrumentation, telecoms, cathodic protection, gas quality, civils and geotechnical)


  • Hydrogen Transition (H2)

  • Hydrogen technical awareness for all pressure tiers, developing frameworks (inc. competency and operating strategies) as our Net Zero projects progress and to support teams as they progress to deliver our Net Zero ambition.
  • Knowledge of supporting technology systems/ tools including devices and equipment and protocols used in support of the above functional areas
  • Working with IT Teams and Procurement Teams to plan maintenance activity, advise on contract renewals and/or ceasing of contracts in line with the strategic roadmap.
  • Identify, analyse, and implement appropriate KPIs which allow the business to measure product success.
  • An understanding of the role technology and digital platforms plays to enable business value with an overall understanding of the whole lifecycle of technology products.
  • Knowledge of supporting technology systems/ tools used in support of the identified functional areas
  • Experience of working in an agile productcentric environment and agile/matrix managed multidisciplinary
- technology teams, including deep understanding of agile methodologies such as software development methodology, e.g., behaviour-driven development.
