ABOUT THE ROLE


As Finance Business Partner - Manufacturing, it'd be your job to act as a strategic finance business partner to the manufacturing senior plant operations across our sites in Whittlesey, Grantham, and Wombourne, aswell as our regional Engineering leadership teams.


Reporting into the Director, Finance, you'll work as part of a wider GB and Global team to provide financial support from; producing value adding routine reports and managing the quarterly forecast and annual budgeting process to generating ad hoc analysis as required to ensuring rigorous financial assessment on all manufacturing projects and capital spend.

You'll also

  • Business partner, support and advise Plant Managers and Engineering team with the preparation and analysis of financial and management information for the plants
  • Review, assess and report weekly on our risks and opportunities with actions required to mitigate risks
  • Attend regular plant performance and review meetings and ad hoc meeting requests by the plant team
  • Perform financial closing for the plants, provide analysis, input and explanations including interpretation and explanation of usages, costs and variances
  • Preparation of periodical management reports and analysis at a plant level total delivered cost conclusions compared to annual standards and quarterly forecasts
  • To review, assess and report weekly on our risks and opportunities by plant with actions required to mitigate risks
  • To manage the plant manufacturing annual standard cost of goods process and quarterly forecast submissions
  • To provide manufacturing support for validating and assessing capital investment, SCA or VSM initiatives
  • Provide finance controls for the manufacturing processes and report exceptions to leadership team.
  • Strategic capitals for the plant
  • Provide support to regional engineering / project managers with financial control and validate financial benefits expected from executing capital projects.

ABOUT YOU
You'll already be an experienced Finance Business Partner working within FMCG (ideally manufacturing/supply chain). You'll also have

  • Industry accountancy experience and a professional Accountancy Qualification
  • Experience of working effectively with internal customers and stakeholders
  • Project management and experience in investment evaluations
  • Analyse and report on financial performance
  • Experience of implementing effective financial controls
  • Microsoft Office competence

WHERE WILL I WORK?
We champion hybrid working here at McCain.

you'll travel to our plants across our region, in particular our Whittlesey and Grantham sites, so it would be advantageous if you were based within a relative commutable distance from Whittlesey or Grantham, aswell as working from home.

Our head office (Customer Experience Centre) is on the outskirts of Scarborough where you'll travel to from time to time to meet with your colleagues.
