- Minimum HNC/ HND Qualified in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with Rotating equipment - Turbines/ Compressors /Pumps is highly advantageous
- Clear technical writing and good record keeping.

Description
Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit for a Tendering Engineer for a leading engineering company based in Bedford. This provides a rare opportunity to join a leading company who are a household name within their industry allowing you to gain exposure to a large variety of different sectors including MOD, O&G, Marine and Power Generation.
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a tendering team producing comprehensive technical and commercial RFQs on a range of mechanical products, focused around rotating equipment.
The ideal candidate will be a minimum HNC/ HND qualified in Mechanical Engineering with a Strong understanding of rotating equipment : Compressors/ Turbines/ Pumps. The ability to work in a fast- paced environment and turn around quotes in a timely manner is a must for this role.
This role will initially be based on site 5 days per week but moving forward would offer 2 days at home Hybrid working.
Role Description
Provides tendering support to regional tendering and sales teams on win order strategies across the product lines.
Develop and submit detailed proposals ensuring they are delivered in a high quality, timely fashion, support the Inquiry to Order strategies of the business.
Review and evaluate detailed technical specifications to extract applicable client requirements and translate/communicate specifications to subcontractors, sub-vendors and the internal organization accordingly.
Obtain quotations as necessary for bought-in equipment, in accordance with latest Global Supply Chain policies.
Liaise with the colleagues from various departments in order that we meet customer needs, scope, and timing
Ensures accuracy and completion of both SalesForce tender data and M3 ERP system requirements
Work as a member of the UK Team to ensure KPIs and Metrics are achieved.
Review customer purchase order against tender documents ensuring that the information is accurate. Co-ordinate any clarifications with customer and Trillium Finance/Legal until purchase order is acceptable to Trillium.
Ensure technical and commercial conditions of contract meet with business expectations.
Establish and maintain regular communication with key clients, including, where necessary site visits
An element of travel may be required to support customer visits during bid clarification/negotiation stages
