Are you looking for a new challenge? Have you got excellent operations experience? We have a fantastic opportunity to bring on an Operations Assistant on a permanent, full-time basis.


Reporting into Operations Manager at our Findon, Aberdeen you will sit as part of the manufacturing family which heads manufacturing safe, reliable, high quality survival technology and protective wear for customer sectors and needs.

You will focus on driving safety through innovation and production excellence.

Your role will help install, maintain and repair Survitec safety solutions. You will operate all tools, machinery, and equipment safety and to Survitec standards. You will maintain a clean work area, machines and tools and assist other Survitec manufacturing, production, or service colleagues.


What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:


  • You will operate various equipment and machinery safely as part of a manufacturing production line or service operation
  • Transfer tools, parts, equipment and supplies to and from workstations and other areas
  • Examine and test machinery, equipment, components and parts for defects to ensure proper working order
  • Move and position vehicles, machinery, equipment or physical structures for assembly or installation using hand tools, power tools and moving equipment
  • Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools or work areas using hand tools, power tools and cleaning equipment to operational and safety standards
  • Carry out operational tasks to Survitec standard, ensuring work is completed right first time and flagging any instances of variation or failure to qualified colleagues
  • Carry out installation tasks, following detailed instructions and working under close supervision to complete those allocated tasks
  • Help to maintain and repair equipment and appliances by carrying out standard preparation, inspection or maintenance tasks, following strict and detailed instruction
  • Support the quality function by working within strict quality standards and helping to identify instances of noncompliance, so that problemsolving and corrective action can be taken
  • Accurately follow work instructions, including the use of personal protective equipment where relevant, to support a safe working and the wellbeing of self and others
  • Participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria

  • Educated to High School Level
  • Applicants should have Forklift operations experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience operating complex machinery is desirable, but bit necessary as full training is provided
  • Operational experience within a service base industry
  • You enjoy a handson structured approach, and you enjoy promoting a culture that is customer centric and safety focused
