    About the role:

    We have an exciting opportunity to become our Dietitian. You will assess and manage the dietetics needs of children and young people in the Cambridge and Peterborough contract. This role will be one of the lead roles in the multidisciplinary team (MDT) in the area and is a contract commitment.

    The role is hybrid and you will likely work some evenings a week when delivering on site, but you can work your hours flexibly as long as you can commit to working in the evenings. The role is also Monday-Friday.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To contribute to MDT triage, improving referral quality and optimisation of care prior to treatment.
    • Conduct holistic dietetic assessments and interventions to advise children and families at an individual or group level
    • To provide group or 1-1 interventions for children, young people and families
    • Responsible for clear and accurate documentation of assessment findings and progress notes
    • To work collaboratively on the service development of the MDT
    • To support in educating internal and external staff and colleagues regarding dietetic management
    • To uphold and inform clinical governance and safeguarding structures

    What we are looking for:

    Essential:

    • BSc in nutrition and dietetics and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
    • Membership of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) or alternative professional indemnity in place
    • Experience of working with mental health/learning disability clients in healthcare setting
    • Experience of Working with children
    • Experience of Multi-disciplinary working
    • Demonstrable experience of speaking to large groups
    • Experience working in a weight management service
    • Motivational interviewing skills or behaviour change skills training
    • Experience of partnership working with a variety of stakeholders
    • Strong interpersonal skills including empathy, active listening, and effective communication
    • Able to conduct appropriate clinical interviews inc. detailed history taking, dietetic assessment and risk assessment
    • Support medically and psychologically complex clients as part of the MDT
    • Ability to formulate a health care plan taking into consideration other elements of the multidisciplinary team
    • Ability to design tailored talking-based interventions based on individual or family's needs
