Davies Resourcing are working with a leading Lloyd's of London third party managing agent to recruit a Payroll & Benefits Specialist on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.

This role pays circa. 55K and offers some excellent benefits including generous pension contribution, annual leave, flexible working and death in service packages. Their services cover Underwriting Management, Compliance, Actuarial, HR, IT, Finance, Risk Management and Business Intelligence.

Key responsibilities including in this role include:

  • Working with the wider HR team and managing the end-to-end payroll processing for multiple client organisations, with a total of 700+ employees, including payroll inputs and checks across several different payroll providers including ADP, iTrent (MHR), Access (formerly PSC).
  • Plan and execute tax year end including liaising with HMRC when needed, generating P11Db, P60 and reconciling Directors NI.
  • Manage the pension requirements across the Company and its clients in line with current provisions.
  • Generate payroll reports and perform data analysis to support the business and its clients and provide data as and when required.
  • Liaise with the benefit providers and undertake annual benefit reviews, ensuring any benefit changes are correctly processed and reconciling benefit invoices and premiums, including but not limited to Group Income Protection (GIP), Group Life Assurance (GLA) and Private Medical Insurance (PMI).
  • Maintain Underwriting log for relevant employees and informing Broker of employees, both existing and new joiners, that exceed free cover level throughout the year.
  • Supporting the wider HR team with projects including onboarding new clients onto payroll software, including BACs setup.
  • Experience of managing payrolls for multiple entities at the same time.
  • Knowledge of statutory payments, including SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, ShPP, Directors NI
  • Knowledge of payroll software, preferable experience with ADP, iTrent (MHR) and Access (PSC)
  • Knowledge of benefit renewal processes with good understanding of GIP, GLA and PMI
