Assistant Headteacher - Leeds, United Kingdom - Leeds City Council

    Default job background
    Description

Moor Allerton Hall is a caring, happy, three form entry school.

Our new and ambitious Headteacher is incredibly driven to lead the school into a new phase with the support of an exceptional Assistant Headteacher. As part of a wider SLT team, including a Deputy Headteacher and two other Assistant Headteachers, you will work strategically to lead and support growth during a period of change.

The role is ideal for candidates who have previously had some leadership experience in a primary school - the right candidate will bring with them passion and enthusiasm as well as excellent communication and influencing skills.

The role will involve some teaching (approximately 1.5 days a week) mostly in Years 5/6, where you will lead Upper Key Stage 2. You will undertake performance management and pupil progress for your team, and weekly briefings. You will also oversee timetables and staffing to ensure school runs smoothly on a day to day basis.

A working knowledge of the English curriculum would be desirable, however, any subject leadership skills will be an advantage as you will be part of wider teams based in school (for example, assessment and behaviour).

The post will be full time, term time only.

If you would like to learn more about the post, there is an opportunity to visit school on either Tuesday at 2.30pm or Wednesday at 9.15am – please email to book a slot. Candidates are warmly encouraged to visit to see the school and meet some of the leadership team, or to email the above address if they have any questions.
