A CNC Lathe Programmer is required, for a well established precision manufacturing business based in Dudley.
The company are long established within the black country for over 40 years, specializing the manufacture of precision components for a range of industry sectors.
They pride themselves on manufacturing high-quality components using the latest technology and a machine shop boasting a range of CNC machinery and CAM software.
They've got a very low turnover of staff, coupled with long-standing relationships with blue-chip companies globally.
Benefits include an hourly rate £16.92 p/h, paid overtime during the week, early finish Fridays, 28 days holiday, company pension and various other incentives.
Its 37.5hrs per week Monday to Friday, overtime is paid at Time & 1/3 Monday to Thursday, Time & 1⁄2 Fridays & Saturday mornings.
Programming of vertical turning lathes to machine precision, low volume components
Writing new programmes as well as editing / modifying existing programmes as necessary
Full machine setup and prove out including tooling, speeds, feeds and materials
Manage updates and new components introduced
First off part inspection using measuring equipment, before issuing to QC for final pass off
Multiple setups during the day based on low volume of part manufacture
Apply a continuous improvement approach to programmes to reduce scrap, waste, cycle time and tool lifeTo be successful as a CNC Lathe Programmer, we're looking for the following skills and experience -
