    Job overview

    We are looking for enthusiastic and driven Physiotherapists who are looking to develop within the Musculoskeletal specialism. This band rotational role covers MSk outpatients across Wrexham and Flintshire sites, along with inpatient Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics.

    We will consider applicants with less experience to start as Band in a development post to become Band once competencies are met.

    The physiotherapy service in BCUHB offers a whole career pathway to Band b as a musculoskeletal consultant therapist. Service improvement and development is encouraged and all staff have access to regular supervision and training.

    This is an opportunity to work in large established and supportive team in a beautiful part of the UK.

    Main duties of the job
  • To carry out physiotherapy assessments and treatments; developing individualised therapeutic treatment programmes for a specialised caseload in the relevant clinical area. Patients may include those with physical and psychological problems in area of speciality; some of whom may have a level of complexity. Team leader; clinical specialist or advanced practitioners are available for clinical and managerial support.
  • To ensure a high standard of care for each patient working with patients, families or carers, multi-agency teams and disciplines involved.
  • To communicate with these patients, carers, agencies and other disciplines in an appropriate manner, often with sensitive information, diagnoses or outcomes.
  • To supervise, teach and appraise peers, physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, technical instructors, students and other members of the multidisciplinary or multiagency teams.
  • To train and supervise patients, families or carers and staff from other disciplines or agencies to carry out programmes of care devised by the therapist.
  • To deputise and support the Clinical Team Leader as required in the daily management of the designated team.
