We are currently recruiting for a Testing and Consultancy Team Leader.

This role involves leading, motivating, and developing a team of operational support handlers to perform and achieve business results in line with company strategy.

You will report to our Head of Customer Service and build strong working relationships with the sales team, surveyor team and other key stakeholders to ensure full support for all our clients.

The role will require you to work at a group level, working with other business' to ensure the we share resource planning and planning tools to ensure the success of the group.


What will I be doing?


As our Testing and Consultancy Team Leader you will be responsible for the leadership of the non-technical roles within the testing and consultancy team c17 people.

You will also ensure clear communication lines and working relationships are maintained between the Testing and Consultancy team, and other teams across the business.


Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Effectively lead and manage a team of around c17 people in Pricing, Contract Management, Certification and Tanker inspection support roles
  • Engage, motivate, and performance manage a high performing team
  • Ensure that client complaints are managed and resolved effectively, and measures are put in place to prevent future issues
  • Working with the team, and the business to ensure all local and wider targets are met and exceeded
  • Reviewing the teams processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and adherence
  • Build positive working relationships with customer, sales, surveyor, transition and planning teams to support them in their role, providing guidance on customer needs and requirements
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of relevant data capture
  • Monitor and manage the team's work output against target and drive productivity of each individual and the team
  • Work with planning teams and the wider teams to identify and deliver efficiency savings to improve capacity and customer service
  • Support the broader leadership of the business e.g. via input to planning process, continuous improvement and project participation

You will:

  • Have experience leading a multi skilled customer facing team (around 15 people)
  • Be a passionate leader, with a natural flair for motivating and engaging a team
  • Offer experience reviewing, updating and implementing new process's
  • Hold advanced numerical and data skills
  • Offer advanced excel skills
  • Offer strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Be a highly effective verbal communication skills
  • Be flexible, and able to visit other customer and business sites regularly
